Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Captain Shreve High School Baseball Coach and baseball team to host the Caddo Parish Youth Baseball Skills and Drills Clinic on March 11, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at Captain Shreve High School Baseball Field.
This clinic will offer an opportunity for youth players ages 4-14 to participate in fundamental skills and drills covering selected areas of the game. Instruction will be provided by Todd Sharp, Captain Shreve High School Baseball Coaching Staff, and their players. Players are encouraged to bring their own glove.

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and local Fitness Instructors, is proud to offer a wide variety of free health and fitness classes. Health and Fitness Thursday’s goal is to promote and bring awareness to the importance of living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Bring the entire family out for an evening of Dance Fitness, Line Dancing, Aerobics, walking, nutritional literacy information, and more on the following dates:
January 8, January 15, January 22, and January 29
February 5, February 12, February 19, and February 26
All sessions take place at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 5340 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA 71108, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. An exercise mat and hand weights are also suggested.
The event is free to the public
Please consult your doctor before starting any exercise regimen and for modifications that best meet your individual needs.

Caddo Head Start Students Only.
Caddo Head Start Parents/Coaches T-Ball Training (3-5) Organizational Meeting, February 3, 2026, at 6pm-7pm, at Hersey D. Wilson Head Start Center, 4055 Saint Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. 71108. This meeting is to discuss the league rules, policies, and procedures, required paperwork for hard deadlines.
This program will provide a Tee Ball experience that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals. Young players in this age bracket will build confidence as they practice hitting a ball off a Tee, running bases, catching, and throwing.
Caddo Parish is seeking coaches, team moms, and volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of the coaching team or would just like to sign your child up, please attend the meeting.

All Parish of Caddo administrative offices and departments will be closed Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27 due to inclement weather conditions affecting Caddo Parish.
All parks sites remain open to use at own risk (no water available), with the exception of Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park and Robert L. Nance Park in Hosston, both of which are closed.
